We need more volunteers to help us manage the derby. You will get a 2010 derby patch, a wrist band for free admittance to the after party (food, beer, and live music), and the ladies like a man in uniform.
There are three shifts:
- The "Early Birds," as we call them, are the crazies that get up at the crack of dawn to set up the track. They work from 6am-9am and usually get to claim the best seats along the course.
- The "Race Staff" are responsible for making the race happen! You lose your voice, get sun burnt, but you get a T-shirt and a volunteer appreciation party. Lunch is provided.
- The "Teardown Crew" are the volunteers that keep the volcano looking good at the end of the day. A beer's on us at the after party.
