Once a year, a brave group of racers convenes on the daunting slopes of Mt. Tabor to test their mettle. We are dedicating these pages to all those who have spilled their blood, or even worse, spilled their BEER. We thank the community and our beloved volcano for allowing us to tickle her spine for all these years.
2024 Portland Adult Soapbox Derby
We are excited to announce that PASD will be celebrating its 25th Annual Adult Soapbox Derby this Summer. As Oregon's number one free event it takes a dedicated volunteer corp to organize and execute this unique Portland event.
As usual, the date for our event remains the third Saturday in August, which this year is August 17th. The event will run from 10am-4pm for the public on Mt. Tabor. We will have an awards ceremony and party after the Derby in a location that’s yet to be determined.
Online registration will open on March 1, and we will be accepting applications until April 15th at 11:59 PM Pacific Time. Please use the following link to register.
